Ethics
As part of our commitment to promote excellence in government, the Institute of Public Law (IPL) provides education and resources in ethics for public officials and staff. New Mexico's ethical guidelines are primarily embodied in criminal statutes. Yet the criminal law only sets a minimum requirement for ethical conduct by governmental officials. IPL offers training that advances individuals beyond this minimum requirement to the higher standards to which excellent government organizations aspire.
