Judicial Education
The Institute of Public Law (IPL) through its Judicial Education Center (JEC) has been the key provider of judicial education in New Mexico since 1991. JEC is required by state law to train judges and staff in every municipal, county and state court, thereby enhancing judicial competence and the fair administration of justice. Educational services are provided through a variety of media, including in-person trainings, including seminars, conferences and if necessary the establishment of committees to oversee training andvideo conferences along with, resource materials.

Court Supervisors Conference
This annual conference provides training for staff supervisors throughout the judiciary in management, professionalism, communication and employment law.
Domestic Violence Interactive Trial
Developed for the general and limited jurisdiction courts of New Mexico, this virtual trial poses challenging legal, evidentiary and procedural problems that arise from domestic violence cases. The trial consists of short videos depicting attorneys in simulated courtroom proceedings. Participants rule on each issue, after which the hearing proceeds to its conclusion.

Judicial Conclave
This annual conference provides training for all district and appellate judges in New Mexico and covers many areas of law and procedure.
