Educational Programming The Institute of Public Law (IPL) offers a wide range of educational programming for a variety of clients. Our staff has considerable expertise in educational design and delivery and provides in-person training, video conference training and online web-based training. Our audiences include members of the state judiciary, professionals and volunteers in the fields of childrens law and transportation safety, school-age children, volunteer court mediators, and the general public.

Center for Wildlife Law
The Center for Wildlife Law (CWL), founded in 1990, is nationally known for providing information and education to students, professionals, the public and the many levels of government. CWL authored the State Wildlife Laws Handbook in 1993 and the Federal Wildlife and Related Laws Handbook in 1998. CWL publishes theWildlife Law News Quarterly, "Wildlife Law News Weekly Alerts," and has authored, co-authored, spoken and provided training on many state and federal wildlife law topics. CWL's award-winning program for youth, Wild Friends, empowers students to develop and pass their own state wildlife legislation.

Corinne Wolfe Children's Law Center
The Corinne Wolfe Children's Law Center is a specialized center within the Institute of Public Law at the University of New Mexico School of Law dedicated to improving outcomes for children involved in abuse or neglect and delinquency proceedings in New Mexico.

NM Transportation Safety Law Center
The New Mexico DOT Traffic Safety Bureau and the UNM Institute of Public Law work together to develop programs, research legal issues in traffic safety and assist New Mexico communities in developing programs to reduce DWI. The Institute writes and publishes newsletters and other materials on traffic safety, aviation and driver education. Under a federal grant administered by the Bureau, IPL provides education for prosecutors, judges, community leaders and police officers on DWI prosecution and sentencing.
